Aloha e Ke One O Kākuhihewa,
For those who could not make our 2 resolution workshops, Iʻve attached the presentations (Intro, Best Practices, Drafting). Please share them with your members. We hope to see your resolutions acted upon at our upcoming convention on August 7th.
If you are drafting a resolution, please used the attached template. Email your draft resolutions to: OAHUCOUNCILCONVENTION@GMAIL.COM
by June 30, 2021. On July 2nd, a resolution packet will be sent to all clubs. If you wish to discuss the resolutions, send your members to the Resolutions Committee which will be meeting prior to convention.
The resolutions committee’s kuleana is to recommend to the convention body resolutions for adoption, as is, or as amended, and those recommended not for adoption. The resolution committee will be responsible for conforming all resolutions to the guidelines for resolutions and make all appropriate style and non-substantive changes. Also, the resolutions committee will debate the merits of each resolution and make any and all necessary changes to those resolutions that will be recommended for adoption by the convention body. The resolution committee will be made up of club representatives, but each club is entitled to only (1) one vote in committee. The resolutions committee may choose to take any and all necessary and prudent measures to accomplish its kuleana.
The meeting schedule for the Resolutions Committee is as follows:
- July 9th, 16th, 23rd (6 p.m. to 8 p.m.) [subject to change by the committee].
Delegates, Alternates and Guests must pay a $5 registration fee. Each delegate, alternate or guest should register individually here: https://tinyurl.com/2cn5ft24
